    use-meName: Hannah Gamon

    Killer Reads role: Marketeer

I currently have my head between the pages of… The Year of the Tiger – a brand new thriller that we’re set to publish next year. I’m literally 2 pages from the end, I can hear it calling to me from my sofa. I’ve always wanted to go to China, so I’m living vicariously through the Heroine and I can practically taste the jiaozi dumplings.

I love working for Killer Reads because… not only do I get to read sneak previews from brand new authors, but I also get to work with you – what could be better than sharing something you love with other people who love it too!
I am told I look like… the saber-toothed squirrel from Ice Age. Apparently it all comes down to my ‘comical’ face.

    use-helenName: Helen Bolton

Killer Reads role: Editor for Avon
I currently have my head between the pages of…  a fantastic submission set in the 17th Century. It’s got adventure, love, harems, pirates, and even a cameo appearance from Charles II himself – great stuff! I also have the world’s biggest pile of books next to my bed which I’m dying to read; Ian McEwan’s Solar, A Clash of Kings (the second in George R. R. Martin’s epic fantasy series), Anne Fortier’s Juliet, Sanctus by Simon Toyne, The Finkler Question, The Fry Chronicles, Bill Bryson’s At Home…I could go on. And on.

I love working for Killer Reads because… I get to work on some of the most exciting fiction around, with some of the UK’s top authors. Oh, and getting the chance to read the next bestseller before anyone else still hasn’t lost its charm…
I am told I look like… Nadine Coyle. Apparently.

    use-emadName: Emad Akhtar

    Killer Reads role: Editor/Henchman
I currently have my head between the pages of… MANY SUBMISSIONS (this statement will not age)
I love working for Killer Reads because… It gives me lots of good ideas of how to dispose of the bodies
    I am told I look like… A chargrilled Sinead O’Connor

    Name: Sarah Hodgson

Killer Reads role: Deputy Publishing Director
I currently have my head between the pages of… The truth is, it’s A Dance with Dragons – not technically a crime novel, but choc-full of horrible murders, and absolutely gripping.

I love working for Killer Reads because… The books are great and so are the people.
I am told I look like… Jenny Agutter (this is actually true).

    Name: Natasha Hughes

    Killer Reads role: Editor

I currently have my head between the pages of… Dostoyevsky’s Crime and Punishment in preparation for my trip to St. Petersburg at the end of the month…however as I am a slow reader (particularly on a Kindle) it’s unlikely I will be finished before my arrival!

I love working for Killer Reads because… It gives me the vain hope that I will get to go to Harrogate one day and party with the cool people.

I am told I look like… Juliet Lewis (hopefully they are referring to when she was in Dusk Till Dawn).

    Name: Kate Stephenson

    Killer Reads role: Editorial

I currently have my head between the pages of…  Submissions (many and always),  The Rules of Civility by Amor Towles (recommended by a friend who knows I’m dying to go to NY), and The Forrests, by Emily Perkins (picked up on my last trip home to NZ)

I love working for Killer Reads because… Simple answer, I love books.

I am told I look like… erm… my sister. That’s cheating, but it happens all the time and I can’t remember being told I look like a celeb (sob).
