Tonight sees the opening of the Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival. Part of the famous Harrogate International Festival. The festival attracts the cream of the crime writing world crop and this year is no exception.

Hi Kate here (not to be confused with Kate F). I am just on my way up to Harrogate to check out. All the biggest names from both sides of the pond will be there, from Mark Billingham and George Pelecanos and of course our very own authors such as Reginald Hill and Stuart MacBride to name just a few.
