Star of THE WIRE Dominic West meets author Charles Cumming

Greetings!

We’ve got something special up our sleeve this week, in the handsome shape of this video featuring author of THE TRINITY SIX Charles Cumming meeting with star of THE WIRE Dominic West, a.k.a. Jimmy McNulty.

You won’t want to miss this – a great writer and a great actor on top form in a fascinating conversation that covers everything from the many similarities between spy craft and acting, to the surveillance society – and how it is represented in THE TRINITY SIX and THE WIRE.

There’s an especially interesting point which Charles Cumming makes – that box-sets have increasingly replaced the novel as conversational topics in pubs and cafes. Or ‘bistros’, for the purists among you. This something we will revisit on the site in the near future, but as always, we’d love to hear from our Killer Readers!

THE TRINITY SIX is out now.

For the electronically-inclined, Charles Cumming’s two Alec Milius novels – A SPY BY NATURE and THE SPANISH GAME are available for download.
