The Invisible Guardian is becoming a film! First production still released.

Film still - Amaia and Jonan

Fans of the acclaimed trilogy by Dolores Redondo — with the first of the English translation in the series currently out in the UK — will be pleased to hear that filming has begun for The Invisible Guardian.  Filming locations include Elizondo, which is the actual village where the series takes place. The books are set in the Basque region of Spain, which is renowned for its rolling hills, picturesque towns, and mythological beliefs tied to the land. You can be sure to expect dramatic imagery with scenes of perplexing crime and dark mystery. The Invisible Guardian follows the investigation of a murder led by an inspector who is inherently tied to the case due to her childhood connection to the region. Torn between the rational, procedural part of her job and local myths and superstitions, Amaia Salazar has to fight off the demons of her past in order to confront the reality of a serial killer at loose in a region steeped in the history of the Spanish Inquisition. Hot on the heels of the initial filming is the release of the English translation of the second installment The Legacy of Bones, due out on August 25th 2016.
