The Specsavers Crime Thriller Awards

Last night saw the second outing for ITV 3’s Crime Thriller Awards, this year sponsored by Specsavers. The big winner on the night was Harlan Coben who took away the audience award of ITV3 viewers favourite crime genre author. Coben beat the likes of household favourites Dick Francis, Alexander McCall Smith, Nicci French and Martina Cole.

Other winners included:

Crime Novel of the Year: A Whispered Name, William Brodrick (Little, Brown).
Best Thriller: The Last Child, John Hart (John Murray)
Best Drama: The Wire
Best Actor: Dominic West
Best Actress: Juliet Stevenson

Hall of Fame: Colin Dexter, Lynda La Plante, Ian Rankin and Val McDermid.
