Karen Woods
Karen Woods writes about the world she grew up in and her beloved Manchester – in all its light and shade – is in every book. A reluctant reader until the age of 39 when an adult literacy course unlocked her future career, Karen has since written twenty-three books set in and around the dark side of the city. She has appeared on Loose Women, The One Show and in an array of national press. Karen also runs EVOLVE, an organisation delivering arts workshops to inner-city schools and pupil referral units.
